What is the RCM1 Edge? top
The RCM1 Edge is a free application that brings investment property offerings directly to your desktop. Receive only properties/investments that align with your acquisition criteria immediately from the RCM1 Edge. Avoid the hassles of email management (no spam) and insure you don‘t miss any opportunities.

The RCM1 Edge quickly and efficiently delivering the latest deal flow allowing you to manage all of your property offerings in one central location.
Technical Specifications top
The RCM1 Edge consumes very little processing power (less than 5MB of memory under most conditions) and will not slow down your computer.

Currently, the RCM1 Edge is available for Windows XP and Vista. Future releases may support Mac OS X, Linux, and mobile phones depending on market interest. Please contact us for more information.

The RCM1 Edge runs on Real Capital Markets‘ proven technology platform and uses SSL to insure secure communication between our servers and your desktop.

The RCM1 Edge does not contain any spyware or adware.
Getting Started
How do I install the RCM1 Edge? top
Installing the RCM1 Edge is easy. Login at http://www.rcm1.com, click on the “Download Now” button in the left-hand column, and follow the simple instructions.
What if an error occurs when I try to install the RCM1 Edge? top
If you get an error when installing the RCM1 EDGE, clear your browser‘s cache and download again. If you do not know how to clear your cache, please contact our Technical Support team for assistance.
What if I share a computer? top
Each RCM1 Edge user will have a separate account. If there are multiple users on the same computer, the RCM1 Edge will display only the properties for the user currently logged in to the computer.
Why does the RCM1 Edge start when I turn on my computer? top
The RCM1 Edge starts automatically when you start your computer starts. You can change this default setting by following these steps:
  1. Click the Menu icon in the toolbar and select Options.
  2. In the Options window, click the General tab.
  3. Uncheck “Launch the RCM1 Edge when Windows starts up”.
  4. Click the Close button.
How do I minimize the RCM1 Edge when I turn on my computer? top
  1. Click the Menu icon in the toolbar and select Options.
  2. In the Options window, click the General tab.
  3. Check “Launch the RCM1 Edge when Windows starts up”.
  4. Check “Start the RCM1 Edge minimized”.
  5. Click the Close button.
How do I know if the RCM1 Edge is working? top
The RCM1 Edge is constantly checking for new properties/investment offerings whenever your computer is connected to Internet. You will see a small blue icon in the system tray that looks like a high rise building. When a new property/investment offering matches your acquisition criteria, the building icon will sparkle.
How do I use the RCM1 Edge behind a proxy or firewall? top
  1. Click the Menu icon in the toolbar and select Options.
  2. In the Options window, click the Connections tab.
  3. Select “Make connections through this proxy” and enter the appropriate IP Address and Port.
  4. Click the Close button.
What ports does the RCM1 Edge use? top
By default, the RCM1 Edge uses the same ports as your web browser: 80 and 88.
How do I configure the RCM1 Edge to not connect to the internet automatically? top
  1. Click the Menu icon in the toolbar and select Options.
  2. In the Options window, click the Connections tab.
  3. Select “Automatically connect to the Internet when computer is offline”
  4. Click the Close button.
Using the RCM1 Edge
How often does the RCM1 Edge check for new deals? top
The RCM1 Edge automatically checks for new deals every 10 minutes.
What if the RCM1 Edge isn't displaying any deals? top
If the RCM1 Edge is displaying the “There are no deals to display” message, it means there are no active property listings that match your acquisition criteria. Older deals may have been automatically removed. To change when the RCM1 Edge will remove items, follow these steps:
  1. Click the Menu icon in the toolbar and select Options.
  2. In the Options window, click the General tab.
  3. Update the “Automatically remove old items” setting
  4. Click the Close button.
How do I change the font and text size? top
  1. Click the Menu icon in the toolbar and select Options.
  2. In the Options window, click the Text tab.
  3. Click the Close button.
Can the RCM1 Edge load links into another browser? top
The RCM1 Edge will open links in your default web browser. To change this option
  1. Click the Menu icon in the toolbar and select Options.
  2. In the Options window, click the General tab.
  3. Update the “Open links in the following web browser” setting
  4. Click the Close button.
